Sarah Boyer Sarah has been working with light for four years.

Sarah graduated from California State University Long Beach with her Bachelor of Arts in Design, emphasizing in Interior Design. Being immersed in art and design at an early age, Sarah always knew she wanted to be creative in her future endeavors. In school she was exposed to the world of lighting while taking architectural lighting design classes. It was at that time that she discovered her passion for light and lighting design.

Sarah started at StudioK1 in 2012, fresh out of school. She has been involved in a variety of projects. Current project involvement includes Catalina Trailhead Visitor Center in Avalon, California; The Colony Apartments in Newport Beach, California; Franklin Street Apartments in Redwood City, California; The Great Park Neighborhoods in Irvine, California; Metlife Investments in San Diego, California; and Redlands Hospital Emergency Department in Redlands, California. Her experience ranges from landscape, site, senior and multi-family residential housing development, corporate facilities, interior and exterior tenant improvements, hospitality, exterior building facade, retail, institutional, healthcare, and sustainable facilities.

As a lighting designer, she is also involved in all facets of the design process and phases of projects, including fixture specifications, designing lighting layouts, existing site assessment, schematic design packages, initial location evaluation, photometric calculations, conceptual, illustrative and photorealistic renderings, Revit and AutoCAD production, sustainable documentation, construction and administrative support.
