Senior Lighting Designer
Michelle has been working with light for four years.
While studying Interior Design at Harding University, she developed a passion for architectural lighting design. She started at StudioK1 in 2012. Her project involvement includes commercial office buildings, healthcare, hospitality, institutional, governmental, landscape, retail, and residential housing development. Her current project involvement includes Santa Clara Square Apartments in Santa Clara, California; Villas Fashion Island in Newport Beach, California; VA Hospital Spinal Cord Injury Center in San Diego, California; Westview Apartments in Irvine, California; 8055 Irvine Center Drive in Irvine, California; Wiseburn High School in El Segundo, CA; and The Pike in Long Beach, California.
Michelle brings a strong background in Revit/BIM modeling. She is involved with all phases of the design process including schematic design and illustrative site plan renderings, existing conditions and site evaluation, photometric calculations, custom fixture 3D modeling, Revit and CAD implementation and construction administration support.
She also is highly involved in Revit Level-of-Detail (LOD) 300, 400, & 500 electrical systems, conduit routing, Title 24 calculations, and clash detection coordination.
