MENG GONG

LEED Green Associate | Associate, IES | Jr Assoc IALD
Lighting Designer

Meng Gong Meng comes from an architecture background and has over five years’ experience working with light.  She started as an assistant residential architect in Decatur, Georgia. After moving to Los Angeles for graduate school, Meng was introduced to the world of lighting by her professor and started her career in that field.

Meng has been working on various project types: restaurants, residential, city parks, churches, large scale mixed-use casino hotels, etc. - both domestically and internationally. Most of these projects she was on board for the entire design process and Construction Administration phase.

Prior to joining StudioK1, Meng worked for Francis Krahe and Associates, located in Los Angeles, California. During that time she worked on her first Revit project, The University of Arizona Cancer Center, and a large scale mixed-use casino hotel, Galaxy Macau Phase II. This casino project gave her solid overseas experience and benefited Meng during her time at Lighting Design Alliance working on another large scale mixed-use casino hotel - Parisian Macau. Being one of the leading designers on Parisian Macau, she went to Macau and worked onsite for five months. That overseas construction experience was very valuable to her. Other notable projects includes the USBank Lobby; Sheik Zayad Grand Mosque Visitor Center; Ginto Japanese Restaurant; and Hanjip Restaurant.
