Lighting Designer

Assunta CicaleseAssunta graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. She has always had a passion for all things design related.

As part of her architecture education, Assunta received an introduction to lighting design. This would be the spark that would ignite her fascination with architectural lighting and the extraordinary ability of light to transform a space. Her education also gave her a strong understanding of sustainability and energy efficient design.

After graduation, Assunta moved to Orange County and worked at Tellus Design as an intern architect. Her duties at this internship included daylight studies and selecting light fixtures for residential buildings.

At StudioK1, Assunta is responsible for producing design drawings, photometric calculations, photorealistic renderings, presentation packages, and assisting with all phases of the design process. Recent project involvement includes: Newport Harbor Yacht Club, Sacramento Commons, AMP Lofts, Rolling Hills Country Club, 5 Lagunas Mall, Fairbanks Ranch Country Club, The Weddington, San Joaquin Apartments, Salvation Army Citadel, Wiseburn High School Gym, Mission Town Center, Santa Clara Square Apartments, the LAX Marriott, and West LA 135.
